Surfside beach 2019

hey there

welcome to my adventures in running and life in general - i hope you enjoy your stay.

so it was cold... like super cold.

Hooray winter has wintered over the St. Louis area… note: sarcasm is dripping with that but, never the less we got it done. The 39th Annual Snowball Series kicked off yesterday at Queeny Park with 3 miles of hills, gravel and some more hills. Fun times, no seriously it was tough but fun. This is the series I was talking about in my last post, 5 races, 5 medals that interlock and a pretty sweet vest to boot.

The course yesterday started on an uphill and went out for about a mile on the Hawk trail and then turned right and picked up one of the more internal trails that right now I have no idea of its name. It’s funny, with the training team we spend a lot of time in the Queen however, we are almost always on the Hawk trail so I know that one like the back of my hand. The inner trails, nope… no idea which way I am going so had there not been about 1700 other folks braving the 25 degree weather I would probably still be out there. It was good to see a bunch of folks I train with out there on the course as well.

smiles at the start…
